Censored Soap Opera

Seriously...I'm pretty sure I could make tons of money if I wrote a book or a soap opera about all the stupid shit I do...

Very late review of 2006

2006: A Year In Review (Not nearly as exciting as 2005)

January -
1.)I get very much bored and share with the world that highly sophisticated scientific tests indicate that: my kissing purity is 14%, I should be an MD, linguistic intelligence is my dominant intelligence, and that I have way too much time on my hands.

February -
1.)I let campus kids in on the secret that they look like tools when they try to run with bookbags on.
2.)I also got a kickass new piercing this month!
3.)I officially re-enter my relationship with Chris and tell the whiny losers that were pining after me to get lost.
4.)I get inexcusably bored and fill out a gigantic survey for my blog.

March -
1.) I post a hilarious list of Mitch Hedburg quotes under the blog title, "Platypus."
2.) I discover that beer and pork are an acceptable meal after Chris's car explodes for no good reason while I'm driving it! I have a friend fix it for me so that I don't have to...clearly a mistake...

April -
1.) I turn 21!!! An awesome evening with a tiara, a 40 oz GLASS mug, the bars, and a birthday rock!
2.) I let the world know that I am terrified terrified of thunderstorms.

May -
1.) I finally get around to writing the blog that summarizes my birthday.
2.) I ask for people to leave me love, and I end up with a strange comment section full of breakfast food??

June -
1.) I bitch a LOT about summer classes and how much I hate anything early in the morning.
2.) We started planning for our fall break trip to Vegas.

July/August -
1.) Not a single blog entry...nothing.

September -
1.) I provide a quick Top Ten list of the newest things in my life, which included: getting Belle, looking at engagement rings, moving in with Chris, vacation to Brown County, and starting to prepare for the MCAT.

October -
1.) Again, not a single blog entry! (But this is the month that Chris proposed while we were in Vegas!)

November -
1.) I announce the engagement and hit the high points of the trip to Vegas: Mandalay Bay shopping, Luxor Spa Suite, Tiffany & Co necklace, dinner at the Eiffel Tower restaurant, and of course--my new fiance!!

December -
1. Apparently an uneventful month...no blogs and no noteworthy recollections.

So there we have it...7 months after the fact...the year 2006 in review.

Las Vegas

This Fall Break had to have been the absolute best break ever.

Las Vegas was amazing...everything is so big...and there are so many shiny things. I feel like I was in ADD heaven...everywhere I went, I was in insane danger of walking into everything because I was rarely watching where I was going. There was so much to check out!

Of course, it would be impossible to list everything that we did...so I'll hit the highlights...spa suite at the Luxor, shopping at Mandalay Bay, three nights with a strip view at the Flamingo, lunch at Margaritaville, dinners at the Eiffel Tower, Samba, Fiamma, and Hofbrauhaus, free Congratulations dessert and the centerpiece from the Eiffel Tower, Bellagio Fountains, pirate show, Cirque du Soleil-Zumanity, Tiffany & Co--and a new necklace!...

and the best part of all....CHRIS ASKED ME TO MARRY HIM! Of course, I said yes...the ring is beautiful...a princess cut diamond for his princess...and he even had the inside of the band engraved! How could I possibly ask for more? My family loves him and he puts up with all of my bullshit...AND he even asked my dad for his blessing! Amazing stuff!

Quick Update

I'll make this short and to the point. Since I know I haven't updated this in a while...and no one really ever reads this...I'm pretty much just using it to entertain myself while I watch the dog play in the yard.

So here it is: The Top Ten List Of Things That Have Changed Since My Last Entry
1. Chris and I moved in together.
2. We got a puppy named Belle (like from Beauty and the Beast).
3. We took an amazing vacation to Brown County.
4. A new semester has started (with classes that are completely kicking my ass).
5. I finally started preparing myself for the dreaded MCAT.
6. We both got new vehicles.
7. We looked at engagement rings!!
8. We planned a really amazing vacation to Las Vegas (coming up in October!)
9. I'm pretty sure I've decided that Facebook is plotting to take over the world. (I'm not sure how yet...but I'm sure it's coming)
10. I've finally become too busy to frequently waste time...for instance, I have a lot that I should be doing right now...but am choosing to avoid it.

Quickly

Ok....I've got a few minutes while I'm waiting on Chris to get done with a test.

So first, I'll apologize for the fark up on the last entry...dunno what happened...and sorry it took so damn long to fix it. Have been a little busy.

Otherwise, things are going well. No new or exciting stories really. Don't do much besides work and summer classes...BUT, we are planning a trip to Vegas for Fall Break!!! Considering maybe having Elvis marry us while we're there...I'm thinking that grooving up the aisle to "Hunka Hunka Burnin' Love" would be a story to tell the grandkids...

Think on that one... :)

Mushy Stuff

Ok...I feel the need to a little sappy today...but I don't have a lot of time, so don't worry--it'll be brief.

I hardly ever update anymore...but my God, I would've never guessed I could be this busy. These damn summer classes are really truly awful. I have to wake up entirely too early...focus entirely too hard...and do entirely too much work. Then...I can't really take a nap in the afternoon because if I do...I won't be tired enough at night to go to bed at 10 fing:30 so I can get up and do it all again.

And here's the sappy part: the good news is that I've had Chris to help me. He's got summer classes too...so at least we both have to be in bed early and awake early. I really couldn't have ever guessed that I could be so happy with "that guy from the 8th floor freshman year." He is easily my best friend and I couldn't imagine where I'd be if he wasn't in my life.

Sorry Sorry Sorry

All right...I'll admit it's been a damn long time since I've updated...and I'm sorry. But to my defense....I have been really really busy!! I had a birthday, a bunch of sister wedding stuff, work, and fucking summer classes....a full plate, ok?

I really did mean to update after the birthday...for those of you who forgot-April 29...it was a kickass weekend. Started off at Candi's, where I was greeted with a big ass mug and a princess tiara....then my first LEGAL appearance at a liquor store....then Chris joined us and we all headed to the bars....here things get a little fuzzy...so I'll summarize a bit: The Chug...Dill Street...a lot of beer...some Long Islands....dancing with that guy and getting dragged away...The Chug...more beer and some shots...Greek's delicious early am pizza...walking home....crying...BIRTHDAY ROCK (I almost face planted on the railroad tracks)...more crying (for some reason I was bawling?)

Then Saturday, Chris and I met up with my sister and Brian for some downtown fun...Jillian's rocked my world!! We had so much fun....if you've never been, you are missin' out!!

Beyond that....summer classes are kickin' my ass somethin' fierce...it's not natural to have physics at 7:30 in the morning!
And Chris and I are getting ready to buy a couple of new vehicles....and are getting pretty excited about the house in August!! Can't wait!!!

---ok....there's the update....maybe y'all should leave me love a little more frequently so I know you're still payin attention and I'll be more diligent about that update thing.....

Two AM

So here I am....2 am Saturday morning...I have to work today....and I'm not in bed. The mood to sleep just really hasn't struck me yet. I don't have anything particularly insightful to say....I'm just bored.

So far tonight...I've gone tanning, paid Wal-Mart for some crap I didn't need, gave myself a french pedicure, done two loads of laundry, painted my nails, cleaned my room, packed a bag for tomorrow night, and dyed my hair red.

What a delightfully productive evening. I wish I could say that it was out of my superior internal sense of productivity....instead it was just the fact that it's storming outside and I am terrified of storms...I mean, like, if I had my druthers...I'd be cowering in the corner covered with a thick blanket. But, that didn't seem all too attractive tonight...so I did ten million other things so I could pretend like I wasn't about to be sucked into a funnel and taken to Oz.
